Why is rebecca herbst leaving gh

Rebecca Herbst Elizabeth Webber who was set to exit the series in March, and was let-go after almost 14 years with the show may be staying after all! You heard it hear first! Now comes word that Soap Opera Digest is reporting that indeed Herbst is staying. Sources say the network is expected to release a statement regarding the change of heart. Stay tuned! I hope the rumours are true! Well deserved for Becky, a true talent and a definite asset to General Hospital. I really hope that its true! Elizabeth Webber still has so many story to tell. And, once again, I hope this is true. Liz is the heart of this show for me. This really made my day! The greatest love story never told.

I am so excited about the news! This is the best news I have heard in awhile. I was going to stop watching GH upon her departure. I know I wrote the show a letter about it. Now give her a great storyline! Then bring Genie Francis back! I am beyond thrilled and Happy that Becky is staying. I hope we will get a little Liason action soon. I love that the fans rallied behind Becky so thanks to the BeckyNation and thanks to all the soap bloggers and mags too.

This is wonderful news. I am glad for Becky and her fans. Thanks to their efforts and the efforts of the magazines, the bloggers and most importantly to Becky for being the class act she always has been. BeckyNation rocks! I am so glad we got Becky re-hired, assuming that is the case. BrookLynn and Elizabeth should realize they have nothing to fight about and move on from the pettiness into a friendship.

I am so elated that Becky is back with GH! Now onto bigger and better story lines for her I hope the writers bring back the honest, kind, spunky Liz!

I hope it is true! But, now the question is are they just going to sideline her and let her fade away like Alan, or are we actually going to finally get to see Liz in a quality storyline?

We all know Becky can be one fantastic bad girl. This is wonderful news for Becky and of coarse her fans. Maybe, I will start watching againn if they can give her a good storyline and stop ruining what is left of Liz. This is wonderful news! Hot dam!!!! Just look at that gorgeous face! And ask yourself why you would not write a storyline for her. I have never seen her phone in her performances.

I have respect for the actress although in my opinion watching the character onscreen is like watching paint dry. I mean, if that is the real reason, they would have done so before they fired RH, not after. I think the public outcry definitely played a big factor in TPTB reversing this horrendous decision. Agreed with Saher M. He only had eyes for Sarah, but after Liz was raped, Lucky was there to support her and the two fell deeply in love, exchanging private wedding vows.

Liz was crushed when Lucky was presumed dead and leaned on Jason Morgan for support. When Lucky was revealed to be alive, he was brainwashed by Helena Cassadine , and it was visions of Liz that helped break her hold on him. After being locked in a crypt with Zander Smith , they got close, and she also tried dating Jason but ended up falling for Ric Lansing. When Liz got pregnant, they married, but she miscarried and they split when Ric locked a pregnant Carly in a panic room to steal her baby to replace the one Liz had lost.

Liz slept with Zander and got pregnant, but briefly reconciled with Ric and planned to raise the child with him. Unfortunately, they divorced again and Zander was killed in a shootout, leaving Liz to raise little Cameron on her own.

Elizabeth became a nurse, but when she and Lucky got back together and struggled financially, she tried to be a surrogate mother for Courtney Matthews and Jasper Jacks. After an injured Lucky grew addicted to painkillers, he had an affair with Maxie Jones, and a furious Liz slept with Jason, becoming pregnant again!

Jason and Liz tried to make a relationship work, but he called it quits because his life was too dangerous for her. Although she and Lucky reconciled, Liz found herself drawn to his half-brother, Nikolas Cassadine , and they had an affair. When Liz ended up pregnant again, Helena tampered with the paternity test to say Nik was the babydaddy. After her son, Aiden , was born, he was abducted by Franco and Lucky had to rescue him.

Eventually, Liz came clean with Lucky in the hopes of inspiring him to get his drinking under control. But she broke her silence recently to deliver a special message on Twitter. The actress, after nearly a two-year hiatus from social media, took to Twitter to thank everyone who greeted her a happy birthday. The actress thanked both groups for reaching out and greeting on her special day.
