Is The Breakfast Club appropriate for 13 year olds? Due to the mature content, The Breakfast Club is best for mature teens. I give The Breakfast Club 4 out of 5 stars, and recommend it to mature teens 14 and up. The Rampage video game was an homage to King Kong and Godzilla , allowing players to control the giant gorilla and lizard destroying cities. It appears that Godzilla viewed Kong as a threat and that he believed he needed to defeat Kong in order to prove to his opponent that he — and not Kong — was the true alpha of the MonsterVerse.

In its day, this Clint Eastwood action-comedy was critically trashed. What was Eastwood thinking? He made his name playing a tough guy. Why would he want to play around with an orangutan?

Maybe Eastwood was looking for a change of pace after the gritty and violent spaghetti Westerns and Dirty Harry movies that made him a superstar. He does seem to be having a blast here. Eastwood stars as Philo Beddoe, a truck driver and bare-knuckle brawler who lives in a modest house with his constant companion, an impish orangutan named Clyde.

This movie is really silly and playful, and Clyde is always good for a wacky reaction shot or some inappropriate antics. The two have a goofy chemistry together, which plays out through a wide variety of physical comedy. But for the most part, this is fine for viewers around 8 or 9 and older.

April 14, Enjoyable popcorn movie There are some kinds of people who won't like this movie. Those who are expecting a faithful adaptation of the video games, those who are tired of mass city destruction and probably not kids either.

I did enjoy it. The action scenes are fun, there are good performances from Johnson, Harris and Morgan and the story is holds together despite there being 4 credited writers. This is clearly aiming for a younger audience, but in my opinion has just too much swearing for a 13 year old audience and is too silly and nonsensical for anyone older than Dwayne Johnson does serve as a positive role model, except for the swearing.

But the other characters are poorly written, the story makes no sense, and the PG stuff was added just to make it appeal to kids who think a PG movie is too babyish.
